"8 years is like an eternity for some bands," says singer Gary Segars. "Prosevere has been around long enough to see what seems like a million bands come and go, and we're still pushing, fighting and doing our thing."
"We don't give up."
Prosevere (pronounced pro-suh-veer), the energetic hard rock stalwarts from Memphis, TN, is comprised of Gary Segars on vocals, Eric Ashe on guitar, Matt Riley on bass, and Rocky Griggs on drums. The same four members have been at it since November 2006. The band has released 4
different EP/discs, and have maintained an active touring presence, not only regionally in the Southeast, but also having traveled all over the eastern United States. The band has an independent radio footprint, and are veterans of several radio / music festivals, including putting together and selling out their own Memphis music festival, The Hometown Throwdown, with headliners Shinedown in 2013.
2015 will see the group release their first full-length record, entitled "Hurts Like Hell." 9 songs were produced with J. Hall in Nashville, TN while the track "One More Thing" was produced in Memphis with Dave Cowell, and written with Blake Allison of the band "Devour the Day." All songs
were mastered by Grammy-winning engineer Brad Blackwood.
Priding themselves on their live show, the band has toured the past few years as direct support with bands like Shinedown, Bush, Godsmack, Papa Roach, and others, hitting markets from New Orleans and Orlando, FL all the way to New York, Minnesota, and the Canadian border. 2015 looks to be
the biggest year yet for the group from Memphis.
